Welcome to Seven Hills Spoon |
Some weeks, the hardest part of dinner is deciding where to go. Welcome to Seven Hills Spoon, where we’ll explore places to eat, food events and good reasons to gather around a table in Rome and the surrounding area. For our first helping, we’re borrowing Seven Hills Spotlight’s guide to eight ways to do an Italian dinner. We’ve also got a Tito’s cocktail-pairing dinner at Chophouse, chili tasting, afternoon tea, bourbon and blues, and a little inspiration for your holiday baking. |
Italian restaurants in Rome, GA, offer several different ways to do dinner, from an evening built around Mediterranean dishes to a family meal of pasta, pizza and garlic rolls.
La Scala and Aventine suit diners looking beyond familiar red-sauce favorites. Provino’s and Olive Garden bring the recognizable Italian-American dinner, while Bella Roma and Gondola give a mixed group room to choose pizza, pasta or Mediterranean dishes.
Roma Mia and Pasquale’s round out the comparison with more choices north of downtown, including baked pasta, calzones and pizza.
The useful question is what kind of meal your table wants. These eight profiles compare menus, settings and locations so you can choose an occasion before choosing a restaurant. Leave room for the accompaniments—and check current menus before settling on a particular dish.

Halloween candy belongs to trick-or-treaters, not dogs.
Doorstep bowls, party leftovers and dropped wrappers can put tempting—and dangerous—treats within reach.
Chocolate is especially concerning because dogs cannot process its theobromine and caffeine the way people can.
Dark and baking chocolate generally pose the greatest risk, but any suspected chocolate ingestion warrants a call to your veterinarian.
Vomiting, diarrhea and restlessness may be warning signs; tremors, an abnormal heartbeat or seizures require urgent care.
Other Halloween hazards include xylitol, a sweetener in some sugar-free candy and gum, and raisins, which can cause kidney injury.
Hard candy and wrappers can also cause choking or blockages.
Do not wait for symptoms if your dog gets into candy.
Check the packaging and promptly tell a veterinarian what your dog ate, how much and when; do not induce vomiting unless instructed.
Keep candy secured, check walkways for dropped treats and offer your dog a familiar pet-safe snack instead. Read More... |
